The School Day

Our schools are organised in such a way as to provide maximum time for learning across a balanced curriculum.

Our schools are committed to offering our children a healthy start to the school day by inviting them to attend a Breakfast Club from 8.00am each day.  Places in our Breakfast Club can be arranged through the main school office, and cost £1.50 a day.

Both schools begin 8.45am and finish at 3.15pm.

In our schools, the mornings are usually given to Phonics, Reading, Writing and Maths. Depending on the year group, the order in which these are taught may vary.

All of our EYFS, KS1 and KS2 children have a fifteen minute break in the middle of the morning.

Play time and lunchtime staff are trained to support children’s play.  There are a wide range of activities for children to enjoy, such as skipping, reading, drawing and sports. Infant lunch starts from 11:45am and Junior lunch starts at 12:30pm

Our afternoons are filled with learning based on the wider curriculum.  Subjects taught include Science, Geography, History and Art. In addition to these, the children are also taught Design Technology, Spanish, Computing, Physical Education and Music.

The LDBS Academies Trust

LAT was created in 2012 with five schools spread across the London Borough of Haringey. Our mission is to establish, maintain, carry on, manage and develop Church of England Schools across the Diocese of London. Our aim is that every child should have the opportunity to flourish and develop into a rounded adult who can live life to the full.
