Dear Parents and Carers

Welcome back to the last half term of the school year.  Over the next few weeks the children in the Nursery will be learning about 'Sand and Water.'

The major focus of this topic is observing, talking and drawing conclusions about the world around us.  The children will also sort and classify materials and investigate objects that float and sink.  They will learn about what happens when it rains and which materials will keep us dry.

We are hoping that the sun will be with us over the next few weeks. Please provide your child with a summer hat with their name in it so that it can be left at Nursery. When the weather is sunny we do not allow children outside without a sun hat.

We have several reminders:

*  Boxes of tissues please

* Healthy, varied packed lunches (no fizzy drinks, chocolate bars or sweets)

* All clothing to be labelled with your child's name.

As always, we welcome any support or suggestions which you may have.  Watch the class bulletin board and class web page for more details as the theme progresses.
