We would like to take this time to wish all the children and parents a good and restful holiday.

We wish them all the best in the upcoming year.

Homework over the Holidays

Read 6 books

Learn the following times tables: 2's, 3's, 5's and 10s

Keep a diary

Have fun!

PE kits need to be brought to school every Monday and taken home and washed on a Friday. That way kits will always be available when they are needed.

 

Spellings are given every Monday. Please learn these for a test the following Friday. 

 

Reading books are changed weekly.  Please read with your child each night and ensure reading books are always in your child’s book bag when they come to school.

 

Homework is also given on a Friday and is due in on the following Wednesday morning. Please see the class teacher if you have any questions about the homework. Please see the attachment for this weeks homework.

 

Maths

 

We are using Abacus-  Active Learn to plan and deliver lessons.

Your child will be given weekly activities to complete on line which where we can check their progress.

Guided Reading

 

 

We now take part in Guided Reading, with this your children are in smaller groups and they will take part in different activities daily. Examples of theses include:

Reading with Teacher

Reading with TA

Free reading

Comprehension

Listening station

Phonics activities

In the first week back we will be focusing on punctuation and learning how to include these in our writing.

During this topic we will learn about different clothing from around the world and look closely at the patterns as well as clothing from different era's of time.

Science

In science our topic next term is Living things and their habitats.
