Welcome to the Year 4 page.
Mrs Crook: St Martin de Porres
Mr Gallagher: St Martha
We will be learning about how we change as we get older and become more responsible. We will be looking at the lives of children from the past and comparing them to ourselves. We will be thinking about jobs different adults do and what qualities and responsibilities they need to be successful. Many older people have achieved great things later in life, we will learn how it is never too late to try something new.
St Martha's went on a journey around our school, can you tell where they have been?
Work on your own or in teams to find out where these photos were taken. Write your answers down and bring them to Mr Gallagher. Good luck!
St Martin de Porres' class have been looking at estimating in mathematics. Which do you think is heavier?
Sometimes it's hard to estimate. We made estimations, then weighed objects to see if we were close. We recorded our work in drawings and photos. Have a look at us working in our gallery below.
We are learning how to be safe when using the internet. As part of 'Safer Internet Day' we designed posters to display near the computers in our classroom.
St Martha's have been using the iPads to create comics. These comics deal with the issue of bullying and how we can help to stop it.
Keep an eye out for their comics which will be appearing shortly on the internet and around the school. Check out the photos of them hard at work...you can even see Mr Gallagher acting in one of them!
Thank you to all those who came to see St Martin de Porres perform their play 'David the Giant Slayer'. It was great to see you all and really gave us a huge boost, have a look at the photo's below.
