The Staff in St. Elizabeth are Ms Asantewaa and Ms Aman.

During your child's first few weeks in Reception, they will learn how to get along with each other and have opportunities to play alone, alongside and with other children.  We will learn simple rhymes/songs and the children will listen to a range of stories. They will see their own name card around the classroom, learn to write their name, be introduced to numbers and involved in simple counting activities.

This half term our topic is 'Family and Friends'.

We are encouraging you to talk to your child about their family members and to bring in a family photograph which we will be using as part of a class display. The children will also create simple pictures of themselves and their families.

Class Information

  • Please remember school begins promptly at 8.50am. Please arrive and collect your child on time to help avoid any upset.
  • PE will be every Tuesday. Please provide your child with a plain white t-shirt, blue shorts and black plimsolls. Children should bring their PE kit into school on Monday and take it home on Friday.
  • Before half term,  the children will be bringing home books to read and words to learn. Please support your child's learning by reading with them each evening for ten minutes.
  • Always remember to look at the class  page on the school website for any further information.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to speak to a member of staff.

Friday 21st September 2018      Reception Homework

This week the children have been focusing on the 'm'  'a' and  's' sounds.

Please encourage your child to practise writing these sounds at home and to try and think of different objects that begin

with 'm' 'a' and 's'.

Please remember that any recorded homework should always be returned by Wednesday.

Thank you for your continuous support.

The children will learn these sounds to begin with. Please practise them at home with your child.
