Welcome to St. Clare and St. Francis
The Year 2 class teachers are:
St. Clare - Ms Butler
St. Francis - Miss Spanou
The teaching assistant is Ms Desir
Our new IPC topic is
'All Dressed Up'
This is supported by our Science topic
'Using and changing materials'
Homework is given out on Fridays and is due in on Wednesdays. If there are any problems with understanding the homework please see the class teacher or teaching assistant, Ms Desir, on Mondays.
Please remember to bring your reading books into school every day.
You also need to bring your spelling book every Monday, to write your new spelling words down.
And don't forget your spelling test on Fridays.
You need to learn your words:
Look, Cover, Write, Check!
Please practise counting in 2s, 5s and 10s when you have a spare moment at home.
Try starting from different numbers if it is easy for you.
Parents and carers can help the children to understand money and practise counting in 2s, 5s and 10s, by giving them the opportunity to count up your loose change!
We will be concentrating on partitioning 2 - digit numbers into their tens and units in order to make it easier to work with them in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Parents please do come and talk to the teacher if you need tips on helping your child.
Have you seen the Kids' Zone? Play games, and visit some cool websites. You can vote for your favourites! And don't forget Purple Mash - lots of fun activities to keep you busy!
Don't forget to log onto Reading Egg to read lots of exciting books and to play games to help you with your reading and writing.
Do you have any ideas for this page? Why not let us know!
Please see attached word document.
