The Big Read

We are looking at Goldilocks and the Three Bears by Lauren Child
Once upon a time, on the edge of a big dark forest there lived a little girl called Goldilocks. You have probably heard of her? If so, you will know three things: she was small, she had lots of golden curls and she had far too much curiosity for her own good. So when Goldilocks discovers an intriguing wooden cottage deep in the forest, she just can't resist peeking inside. Now why would there be one, two, three of everything . . .?

English

Our power of reading book this term is The Lonely Beast by Chris Judge
Have you heard of the Beasts? No, not many people have. That's because they are very rare. This is the tale of one such Beast, whose determination to overcome his loneliness leads him to undertake a daring and dangerous quest to find others like him . .

IPC

Our Topic this half term is Travel and Transport.

We will explore different modes of transport and discuss how they have changed over time. This topic allows the children to explore maps of the local area and consider the journeys they travel on each day.

We will be exploring 'Everyday Materials' in science this term. The children will be given an opportunity for children to look closely at their environment and identify materials and their properties. Over the term we will carry out investigations and build discussion around our findings, with the aim to draw conclusions about materials we use each day.
