School Council

Our school council plays an active role in making decisions in the school.

In the past our School Council has been involved in the following:
-Choosing playground equipment,
-Looking at and choosing the school menu,
-Organising fund raising days
-Changing the school menu
-Changing some of our school uniform
-Taking visitors around school
-Speaking to prospective new staff and pupils
-Speaking at Governors training meetings
-Being involved with the European Safer Schools Partnership and presenting to other schools from      Poland,France, Italy and Romania.

Each class (from year 1 to year 6) elects two pupils to represent them at fortnightly meetings.
The school council elects its own chair, vice-chair and secretary. The meetings are run by the chair but Mrs Easton or Mrs Maduenyi often sit in on the meetings to answer questions.
